Roosevelt's Early Life

Roosevelt was born in New York City in 1858. He was a sickly child, and his doctors recommended that he spend time outdoors to improve his health. Roosevelt took their advice to heart, and he developed a lifelong love of nature.

Roosevelt's conservation efforts were not always popular. Some people accused him of being too quick to set aside land for conservation. Others argued that he was not ng enough to protect the environment. However, Roosevelt remained steadfast in his belief that it was important to protect our natural resources for future generations.

Roosevelt's Legacy

Roosevelt's conservation legacy is still felt today. The national parks and forests that he established are now some of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. And the laws that he signed continue to protect our environment.
