The Shocking True Story of America's Youngest Serial Killer
A Chilling Account of a Teenage Murderer
In the annals of American crime, few stories are as chilling as that of Jesse Pomeroy, the youngest serial killer in the country's history. At just 14 years old, Pomeroy had already murdered four young boys in Boston, Massachusetts. His crimes shocked the nation and left a lasting legacy of fear and fascination.

Pomeroy was born in 1859 to working-class parents. He was a sickly and withdrawn child, and he often suffered from seizures. At a young age, he began to exhibit signs of cruelty, torturing animals and setting fires. As he grew older, his behavior became increasingly violent.
In 1871, Pomeroy lured a 10-year-old boy named Horace Millen into a secluded alleyway and stabbed him to death. A few months later, he killed another boy, 7-year-old Robert Gould, in a similar manner. By the time he was 14, Pomeroy had murdered four young boys, all between the ages of 7 and 10.
Pomeroy's crimes were eventually discovered, and he was arrested in 1872. He was tried and convicted of murder, and he was sentenced to life in prison. Pomeroy spent the rest of his days in solitary confinement at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Bridgewater. He died in prison in 1932 at the age of 72.
The case of Jesse Pomeroy is a chilling reminder of the darkness that can lurk within the human heart. It is a story that has fascinated and horrified people for over a century, and it continues to be a source of study for criminologists and psychologists today.
A Haunting Look into the Mind of a Killer

Humes explores the many factors that contributed to Pomeroy's crimes, including his troubled childhood, his mental illness, and the social conditions of the time. He also examines the ways in which Pomeroy's case was shaped by the media and the public's fascination with true crime.
